Beverly P. Spearman, Associate. Mrs. Spearman, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is a 2001 graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law. During law school Mrs. Spearman served 2 years on the New Mexico Law Review, one year as an Editor. In 2000, Mrs. Spearman was tho recipient of the Johnnie L. Cochran Scholarship for her contributuions to the African American community in New Mexico and upon graduation received the Dean's Award for her outstanding contributions to the law school. Before embarking upon a legal career, Mrs. Spearman practiced for seven years as a Registered Nurse specializing in the area of Obstetrics. As a Registered Nurse, Mrs. Spearman spent four years practicing and living on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Mrs. Spearman possesses undergraduate degrees in Nursing, 1991, and Biology, 1988, from St. Louis University. Mrs. Spearman joined the firm in August, 2001, after sitting for the Illinois Bar Exam and has since been admitted to practice law in both State and Federal courts. Mrs. Spearman is a member of several bar associations and currently focuses her practice on representing plaintiffs injured due to Medical Negligence.
